We Need More Observers

The single biggest reason many Associates have to wait — sometimes for a significant time — before being allocated an Observer is simply down to Observer resources. CSAM covers a large geographic area, making it harder to pair Observers and Associates without long travel distances.

Could that be you?

Many members take the next step after passing the Advanced Driver Course and become Observers. It’s an incredibly rewarding way to share your skills and support others.

Training provided

You’ll receive guidance to further develop your own driving skills and learn how to mentor Associates effectively and consistently.

Progression opportunities

Observers are trained to a higher standard, with opportunities to become a Fellow or take the IAM Masters — the highest civilian driving qualification.

Potential Observers — We Need You

If you’ve passed your Advanced Test and are interested in becoming an Observer, please contact the Group or speak with an existing Observer.

Maintaining standards

CSAM runs two Observer Training Days each year covering legislation changes, IAM updates, and driving skill development.
